Rehema Mussanzi has over 10 years of working experience in the banking, medical device, and peacebuilding sectors. He started out his career working within the Partnership function of the Cooperative Bank in Manchester, United Kingdom. As part of his role, he provided inside sales support for the Business Development and Relationship Management teams of the Bank’s building society as well as intermediary lending arm.
Having worked for the bank for 2.5 years, he pivoted and took on a Business Development role at Emergo, a reputable medical device consulting firm with offices in over 25 markets globally. Within 3 years of his time at Emergo, he progressed from providing Business Development Assistance to the Managing Director of Europe, to a top performing Business Development Manager overseeing markets including, but not limited to, the UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Israel.
Rehema is well accustomed to the regulatory requirements of the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR). He is also familiar with the services offered as part of these regulations including, but not limited to, regulatory submissions, authorised representation, clinical evaluation, trainings, post-market surveillance and clinical follow-up, quality management, and risk management. The regulatory and quality requirements of the MHRA (UK), the FDA (USA), and Swissmedic (Switzerland), also fall within his area of expertise.
In addition to the European services, Rehema also has experience selling device registration, in-country representation, and distributor search services in over 25 markets globally. From 2019 to 2023, he was the Executive Director of Centre Resolution Conflits, a peacebuilding organisation working with conflict-affected communities in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. He set up Lepaz Global upon returning to The Hague in October 2023.
Rehema is fluent in English, French, Swahili, Lingala and is currently learning Dutch. Spanish and Mandarin will follow thereafter.
